This series captures the Humber Bay Arch Bridge along Toronto’s waterfront. Stretching across the mouth of the Humber River, the bridge is one of the city’s most recognisable pieces of modern architecture. I approached this shoot with a focus on minimal compositions and using the river to create some interesting reflections. Working as a Toronto-based architectural and landscape photographer, I’m always drawn to locations that sit between urban and natural environments, and the Humber Bay Bridge is exactly that. Whether it’s calm reflections on the water, long exposure movement, or a single figure crossing the bridge for scale, the structure offers endless ways to explore it. These images are part of my ongoing exploration of Blue Spaces in Toronto. Blue Spaces are natural or man-made areas with significant bodies of water. In urban planning and psychology, it has been studied that being near water can enhance mental health, reduce stress, and improve quality of life.
